The Chicks of Fintwit: THE FINALE
Monday May 23, 2022
Monday May 23, 2022
I created the Chicks of Fintwit podcast with the intention of uplifting kicka$$ women across the heavily male-dominated financial services industry. Today, 25 episodes later, the CoF podcast is (virtually) closing its doors. I am beyond grateful for every guest willing to share their time and their story, as well as for every listener along the way. This podcast truly would not have been possible without you. As a young professional in this space I am consistently mind boggled by the thought that anyone would care about listening to what i have to say, let alone every week! FinTwit has been good to me to say the least, providing me with a platform to amplify my voice and my thoughts, as well as the thoughts of others, has brought me various job opportunities, a vast network of professionals and, most importantly, some of my closest friends. In this closing episode of the podcast, i speak with Nicole Casperson and Elena Krasnow, two of the best friendships that FinTwit has given me, who are also two up and coming chicks in the financial services industry who will undoubtedly change the world in the years to come.
So, what’s next? Have no fear, because I can assure you all that I am NOT going anywhere. I truly feel that i’ve found my niche within this industry, and that is my ability to take the fast-paced and often complex world of cryptoassets and make it more approachable. My next endeavor in the podcast space will be taking a deeper dive into that world, and I hope that my listeners will follow along with me once I do!

Redefining Financial Planning with Shruti Joshi [Ep. 25]
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
My guest on the show today is Shruti Joshi, Chief Operating Officer at Facet Wealth. Shruti is widely recognized for driving efficient, rapid growth at B2C and B2B companies across every stage, from startups to enterprise businesses. A former consumer tech founder and Fortune 15 executive, she has invested and advised many businesses across multiple industries on business strategies to drive client acquisition and retention and develop innovative, end-to-end client experiences. She was an early investor in Facet Wealth and has been an advisor over the last several years. We wanted to talk with Shruti about how Facet Wealth is redefining the financial planning space, how the industry is currently missing the mark with the consumer market , democratizing access to the highest level of fiduciary care available and the importance of the subscription model, there is no wellness without financial wellness; financial health is health, financial literacy is great, but it does not mean the everyday person should be managing their own money and more!

Crisis Management with Morgan Borer [Ep. 24]
Thursday Apr 14, 2022
Thursday Apr 14, 2022
This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Morgan Borer, Partner at Bevel, leading communications consultancy driving quantifiable results for clients in finance, tech, venture capital, consumer brands, entertainment and more. Bevel works with category-leading brands across sectors, with a business model that combines the power of influential storytelling with the analytical mindset of a start-up.
As the first employee at Bevel when the firm launched in March 2017, she helped grow the firm from two to nearly 40 employees alongside Bevel’s founder, Jessica Schaefer, former Head of Communications for Steve Cohen’s Point72.
With all the finance documentaries out there, from The Dropout to WeCrashed, while there are many lessons to be gleaned from these situations, in the PR world, they will probably be case studies for crisis management classes from this point forward. That's what we wanted to chat about today - the importance of crisis management, especially in the world of startups and growth-stage companies.

How Substack is Changing Finance with Linda Lebrun [Ep. 23]
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Linda Lebrun, Writer Recruitment (specializing in finance, investing, business, economics and crypto) at Substack, an online platform that provides publishing, payment, analytics, and design infrastructure to support subscription newsletters. The company has made starting up your own newsletter very easy; so much so, incredibly talented writers have left institutions like the New York Times, The Athletic, ESPN and others to build their own newsletter businesses using Substack's unique, user-friendly newsletter creation and syndication platform. Finance newsletters, in particular, have had a bit of a renaissance because of Substack. We wanted to chat with the person in charge of speaking with as many different writers, influencers, content creators to see if Substack is the right platform for them. In past lives, Linda was a Portfolio Manager, CIO and still is a CFA Charterholder, and we talk with her about her transition to working at Substack and the newsletter revolution that still seems to be in the early innings.

Communicating Fintech with Jessica Schaefer [Ep. 22]
Thursday Mar 31, 2022
Thursday Mar 31, 2022
This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Jessica Schaefer. Founder and CEO of Bevel. During her time with Point72 as VP of External Affairs, she identified the opportunity to fuse her storied professional experience in brand building and reputation management with media relations to strategically and purposefully fuel awareness. Now, Jessica is responsible for the communications and public relations strategies for a robust portfolio of clients, including leaders in fintech, venture capital, big data, and A.I., etc.. Having launched her public relations consultancy in 2017 to address an industry void, Jessica serves as a bridge between clients and stakeholder communities, leveraging traditional mediums and breaking through the new age media, which we discuss in this episode.

Fractional Ownership in...Collectibles?! with Rob Petrozzo [Ep. 21]
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
I If I know anything, it’s what you’re ALL thinking right now. My guest in this episode is in fact, NOT a chick. However, for those who have been following along since my pilot episode, you may recall that I said the podcast was created to highlight some amazing women (which will always be the main focus) as well as male allies. These include men in the finance and technology space that promote equity, inclusion and overall engagement in the investment industry in one way or another. Areas of particular interest to me recently include fractionalization and collectibles. To me, alternative investments such as art, blue chip NFTs, Birkin bags, and other collectibles are more historically associated with the wealthy. That is, until now. I had the pleasure of talking about the intersection of alts and fractionalized ownership with Rob Petrozzo, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer @OnRallyRd. Rally is a platform for buying & selling equity shares in collectible assets.
